July Book

After five days in the second round of voting the winner is…Wayward Pines.

Pines (Wayward Pines #1) by Blake Crouch

Secret service agent Ethan Burke arrives in Wayward Pines, Idaho, with a clear mission: locate and recover two federal agents who went missing in the bucolic town one month earlier. But within minutes of his arrival, Ethan is involved in a violent accident. He comes to in a hospital, with no ID, no cell phone, and no briefcase. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into the disappearance of his colleagues turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he get any phone calls through to his wife and son in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? And what is the purpose of the electrified fences surrounding the town? Are they meant to keep the residents in? Or something else out? Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the world he thought he knew, from the man he thought he was, until he must face a horrifying fact—he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.

Does everyone feel they can get the book by Friday? This can become our July book.

Voting took us the longest so we’ll start earlier next month.

Let's try this: http://fanread.org/blake-crouch-pines.html for reading online

and this http://fbfantasy.org/sf_/sf_mystic/blake-crouch-pines.html for downloads (3 links below the ad in 3 different formats)

Could someone please tell me if you can see/use those (and if this is indeed the book)?
Thank you for the link for reading online. That helps out a lot.

The other link you linked was all in Russian.
Oops, you're right.

To get to the downloads, you have to click the second link above the book description:

then these three links will appear:

Thank you for posting that! I was able to cancel my used book from Amazon, that would have been just under $20.
You're welcome. I encountered the same problem, and our used books site here wants about 30 dollars for a paperback of this book, with no knowing how long the delivery takes!

I have made screenshots showing how to download the text from that site (.txt, .rtf and .fb2 formats are available): http://novelsatnight.livejournal.com/2177.html?thread=27265#t27265
No library copies available in Chicago (too popular and with the recent TV show, well...) but I'll manage to get some version of Pines by July 1st. :) And I'm putting in a request for "Room" in case that's August's book! haha!
I have it as an epub and mobi file, if anyone wants it.
I should be able to get a copy, cant wait :)
Bought on Kindle, because Amazon keeps 'recommending' this one for me anyway!
